Our history
“Global Excellence in rubber mould toolmaking” has been at the heart of Burnsall Engineering since 1954. Founded as a family business by three brothers with a shared passion for engineering, the company was established to deliver mould tooling of the highest precision and quality to the rubber and plastics industries. This focus on accuracy and reliability has remained unchanged for more than seven decades.
Through our continuous reinvestment in people, processes and advanced machinery, we’ve developed a facility that is equipped to meet the evolving demands of modern manufacturing. While our core expertise remains in rubber and plastic mould tooling, our expansion into precision engineering allows us to deliver high-quality components and solutions for sectors including oil & gas, medical & pharmaceutical, food packaging, space, automotive and electronics.
Today, we support customers across the UK, Europe, North and South America, and Asia, supplying tooling and components used in critical manufacturing applications worldwide.

- To continually research and develop new tooling methods and design approaches that improve efficiency, reduce costs and enhance lead times

- To actively support UK manufacturing and strengthen domestic supply chains
Our team
Burnsall Engineering is powered by a dedicated team of 30 highly skilled engineers, with an average tenure exceeding twenty years. This depth of experience brings stability, technical confidence and problem-solving capability to even the most complex projects.
Our workforce blends long-serving specialists, some with over four decades of service, with talented apprentices developing the next generation of engineering expertise. This balance ensures knowledge is preserved, shared and continually developed, strengthening our capability across all areas of manufacturing.
